I can’t compare to MOV release as I’ve never heard it but this blows the CD and any streaming out of the water! The argument that placing a record upon the platter helps prepare the mind for deeper listening is just as relevant when discussing Arca's self-titled album from 2017. This vinyl version, while not being too dynamical, is still much (MUCH!) better than its CD counterparts: I never realised how good, powerful and warm it can sound until today.

I never thought Chris Cornell was the answer for the "new Rage Against the Machine"--really, could you imagine Chris doing political rap (almost as hard to imagine... pardon the Pearl Jam ref... as him doing mainstream r&b with Timbaland)? As the head of a 70s arena nostalgia band, he earns a passing grade in his middle age, though... even if barely. Melnyk released Fallen Trees at the end of last year, shortly before turning 70 years old, and it is proof that as a composer he is still well within his prime. Sony Music Entertainment Inc. and Interscope Records / Manufactured by Epic, A Division of Sony Music.Tom's guitar playing is exceptional. Tim's bass creates this blues like groove that offers further flavour and Brad's drumming builds the tension perfectly. Listen responsibly! I cannot imagine a better record to put on in your car while driving fast on a highway. It feels like it was made for that exact purpose and that's how I love to listen to this project the most.
