While marketed as super interactive, it doesn’t feel like the FurReal Tiger does a whole lot. He has the same series of responses in noise and movement to many interactions. He does not walk or get more intelligent over time. Someone should invent a toy like the FurReal Friends with an AI built-in (like Alexa or Siri)…that would be interesting and probably a bit more long lasting.LP and Little Man absolutely love Tyler. He has over 100 sound and movement combinations so rather than having a set routine and pattern of sounds he actually seems to be engaging with you and doing something new every time. The FurReal Tiger would be a great alternative for a child who cannot/does not have a living pet that they can play with (or perhaps they are not gentle enough with a real pet….I can see Tyler the Tiger being a good training ground for teaching that). Some children may actually find Tyler the Tiger frightening. My nephew was scared of him, and it took awhile for him to warm up to him…something to keep in mind depending on your child’s temperament.
