The Mustang I V2 amp is a small powerhouse. Even though it’s famous for being a practice amp, it’s suitable for smaller gigs too. The speakers may seem slightly lesser than average, but having 20 watts of solid-state power delivers a volume level louder than expected. I’m looking for 1.9 firmware for Mustang IV, if anyone has that or knows where I can find it. I have a M3 1.9 firmware from Softpedia, but don’t know if that will work for a IV as well, I’d prefer not to chance it. Does anyone know? Modeling amps carry presets to imitate sounds of classical guitar amps, which mostly includes vintage tube amps.

If you’re looking at a Mustang III, IV or V, then the answer is yes. This is due mostly because the v.1 versions of those amps had a bug that is know as “FIZZ” among their grumpy owners. V.2 solves the FIZZ problem. Lastly, the “V.2” indicates the series has had an upgrade, so you now have more amp choices because there are now 5 additional alternatives. The V2 models carry additional tonal shifting options mostly.
