A Delphox appeared in Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, under the ownership of Merilyn. It is her main Pokémon, used to assist her in her thievery. While a good move, Fire-type Pokemon are mostly used as sweepers meaning you want to deal lethal damage each turn. Because of this, we suggest using stronger moves such as Flamethrower or Fire Blast instead. Mystical Fire Locations Obtained from the Battle Tower Mystical Fire is a good utility Fire-type move. In addition to the excellent 75 base power, this move also lowers the target's Sp. Atk stat by one stage.

Not planning to write another analysis on Shadow Mewtwo or any other Pokémon in shadow raids, because I already wrote an in-depth Shadow Mewtwo analysis, as well as a tier list of all shadows for raids. For variety lovers aka “Unique 6” players, Delphox is the #17 non-mega*, #9 non-mega non-shadow, and #5 non-mega non-shadow non-legendary**. Unless you’re really thrifting, still not much need.

Fennekin Community Day takes place this Sunday, May 21, from 2pm to 5pm. Any Delphox evolved before 10pm will learn its CD move, Blast Burn. Additionally, Mystical Fire will also be added to Delphox’s permanent move pool, which can be learned via evolution or by regular TMs even after the event. Fire Spin/Mystical Fire Blacephalon will probably still perform worse than Fusion Flare Reshiram in practice, despite higher DPS. (Blacephalon has its own signature move Mind Blown anyway, if you’re willing to wait another few years.) Add some spice to your next wood burning fire by making it a Mystical Fire! Mystical Fire is a campfire novelty that will provide colorful flames for any wood burning fire!
