Even though you can attach up to 6 sensors per thermostat, your thermostat can only use one at a time. Nest Temperature Sensors let you choose which room in your house is most important, or set a schedule so your thermostatuses different sensors at different times. Your thermostatthen uses the sensor you chose tokeep your home comfortable. Allows you to talk to Google Assistant, make calls and more. Detect occupancy for home automation (such as Home and Away routines), if you've enabled that feature. Nest Temperature Sensors are battery-powered and work even if your home's Wi-Fi goes out. The temperature sensor talks directly to your Nest thermostat over Bluetooth so it doesn't need Wi-Fi.

Asides from the entertainment-themed devices, one which has surged in popularity is the Nest Thermostat. On the Nest app: Tap on the Thermostat circle > Tap the Schedule tab at the bottom of the display > Press and hold the day you want to copy > Press copy > Paste it into the days you want the schedule repeated by pressing and holding on the day and selecting 'Paste'. Use your Nest Temperature Sensor
Included for potential future feature enhancements. Currently only used for monitoring device operation. This fi will be especially useful to those of you who have just recently installed your equipment. It can be the case that the device isn’t to blame for the strange readings, but the area surrounding it, can be. Nest has announced a new Temperature Sensor, which will allow the smart themostat to measure the temperature across more locations in your house.
Measures ambient room temperature with Sleep Sensing to help you understand sleep environmental disturbances. Your Nest Temperature Sensor and Nest thermostat are designed to help prevent running your system too hard. If the temperature difference between where your Nest thermostat and sensor are installed is more than a few degrees, you may see an M12 error on your thermostat or a message from the Nest app that suggests moving your sensor. On the Nest app: Tap on the Thermostat circle > Tap the up or down arrows to increase or decrease the temperature.
Safety and Security
This just happened to my thermostat overnight. I woke up and it was clearly 60 – 62 degrees in my house and the thermostat read 85 degrees. On the Nest app: Tap on the Thermostat circle > Tap on the Settings cog in the top right corner of the screen > Scroll down to Safety Temperature in the Options section > Choose the minimum temperature you want the Nest Thermostat to activate at even when it is set to off.
