The most common way is to use an inverter. An inverter connects to your leisure batteries and converts the 12v DC current to 240v AC current. If you’re thinking of getting a larger solar panel fitted into the roof of your campervan, then your installation will, most probably, integrate into your vehicle electrics and power your leisure battery.

Make a list of all the electrical devices and appliances you’ll want to power in your van. This is best done in a spreadsheet so you can make calculations. So, without overcomplicating things, you need to understand your requirements and the capabilities of your system.
