About this deal
If you’ve read this far, you’ve probably come to the conclusion that the Pro model is a dramatically better set of pedals – and you would be correct in making that assertion. However, the Pro model is dramatically more expensive, and the extra cost will be hard to justify for all but the most serious of sim racers – for whom we do wholeheartedly recommend the T3PA Pro. Both of these sets feature considerable options for adjusting the height, angle and pitch of the pedals – and both include mod options for the brake pedal (one with the T3PA, two with the Pro) for tweaking the feel and required braking force. Further mods are available both from Thrustmaster as well as third-party manufacturers. Thrustmasters latest pedal set doesnt stop there: it also includes two removable mods, which can be installed directly underneath the brake pedal.

With the Pro pedals you can hinge the pedals from the top, rather than the bottom. This gives an even closer representation of a real road car. But this comes at an extra cost. Both pedal sets allow you to adjust the spacing between pedals. And they do this by allowing you to remove the pedal pad and mount it in three different positions. This is nice, although we would rather have been able to move each whole pedal individually like the Fanatec CSL Elite pedals. We would confidently say that you will be able to drive better with these pedals compared to the two pedal set. The clutch pedal allows the introduction of heel and toe braking and downshifting. And the brake mod allows you to have much better control over your overall braking technique. Thrustmaster have reworked the plastic base to include a nicer, more subtle grip design, which also adds to the increased aesthetic quality.

Thrustmaster have been making the right steps towards the ultimate pedal set for a while. The base pedals you get with some Thrustmaster wheels come with only two pedals and are just not fit for sim racing. When you compare these pedals to the standard two pedal set you will see a lot of similarities. The majority of the base of each pedal set is made from plastic. The pedals themselves feature a similar metal design and construction, and they’re hinged in the exact same way. They allow for floor mounted or inverted pedal mounting positions. This in turn, allows you to set up your pedals to mimic a range of driving setups. You can floor mount them for formula style driving. Or invert them for GT and road cars.
